The club has 123 openings for new members in 2009. Based on the number of applicants we've had in the past, there will only be one new member orientation session (the one on 2/28). So spread the word...I expect those slots will fill up quickly!

Sorry, but no. Your check will be returned to you. If you want to rejoin, you'll have to attend the meeting on 2/28 and pay the $75 new member fee.
Renewal notices came out in November....

Man, when you say to get there early, you mean it. I got there at 7:45 and the membership was already full. What time should one get there?

Membership at our club is highly prized and sought after. No other club in Michigan is as convenient, well rounded, clean, and respectable as ours (I'm just a little bit proud). No offense intended against any other club, they are all good places to shoot, I just think very highly of ours. People have gotten up as early as 4:00 a.m. to wait in line. Once a member, never forget to pay your dues ASAP after receiving notification. I wish we still had lifetime memberships, even though I'm 52 now, I'd still buy one. Say $1000.00 to $1250.00, equal to 20-25 years at the current dues structure. It all goes back to how bad do you want it. Some people camp out all night to buy rock concert tickets. I'd rather be a member here 365 days a year than go to one concert.

Hey Kevin, We still do have lifetime memberships available at 20 X annual dues which at the current rate is $1,000.00. Which would be a good deal for a young person.

So is 100% sure there will be no second membership drive this year? I had referred a couple people from work and they didnt make it in time.
When is this lifetime membership available? Can a nonmember sign up for that at anytime?

Leadsquirter, aka discman, aka range director, aka (sorry, I can't post what your wife calls you), I thought we got rid of that option back when Maynard was club President.

It is 100% sure there are no more openings for 2009. As to the life membership issue, I'll follow up with Tom. I know that neither he nor I am in favor of them, but I'm not sure of the answer to this specific question.

OK, so here's the answer. The club does still offer life memberships, at 20X the current annual membership fee. Existing members can upgrade their membership at any time. However, new members will still only be accepted during the new membership drive, and only until the cap is reached. Since our cap has been reached for 2009, no more new members will be accepted even if they want a life membership.
I hope that clarifies the situation.
