Southern Michigan Shoot out.
When: 6/12 - 7/10 - 8/14 - 9/11 - 2010
TIME: Shooters meeting starts at 2:00pm, Shooting starts at 2:15pm
Where: S.M.G.C. action handgun range.
What: 75-100 knock down steel plate shoot (Consisting of 3 stages of fire with each stage having 25-35 targets each)
Cost: will be $10.00 for first gun, and $5.00 for every additional gun.
Equipment: Centerfire handguns only with velocities limits of 750fps to 1350fps maximum. You will need at least 4 magazines or 6-7 moon clip/speed loaders, and a minimum of 200 rounds of ammunition per gun.
Venue: will be drawing from a holster or off a table(Shooter Choice) knock down all targets in the fastest time. There will be a 5 second penalty for each plate left standing. Once first shot is fired there will be no restarts!
Gun classifications: Stock Auto = any semi-auto that has standard sights and no compensator.
Open Auto = any semi-auto that has a red dot and or compensator.
Stock Revolver = any revolver that has standard sights and no compensator, and you may only shoot 6 shots before reloading.
Open Revolver = any revolver that has a red dot and or a compensator.
Basic rules: Time will start with a buzzer and end with last shot fired. You may only load 10 rounds in the gun and 10 rounds in any magazine(DO NOT start with 1 in the chamber and 10 in a magazine). Stock revolver may only shoot 6 shots before reloading so you may shoot your 8 shot guns, but you must reload after 6 shot or a 10 second penalty will be added for each shot after 6. Bring enough magazines or speed loaders to complete each stage without having to reload any to complete a stage. Once a magazine or speed loader hits the ground it is DEAD, and cannot be picked up by anyone until the shooter has finished shooting.
HELP: You are expected to help pick brass and set steel if you are not the shooter or the next shooter after the current one. At the end of the shoot your squad is expected to help tear down and store your last stage.
