2014 Action Pistol Calendar

Note: April 2 has been cancelled due condition of range.

Sept. 3
Registration will start at 5pm. Safety briefing will start at 5:30pm. Shooting to begin immediately following. Cost: $5.00 per shooter per day. Event is open to the public. Equipment requirements: Pistol of .22 to 40 caliber, primarily CCW pistols. No single action pistols. Strong side holster; no shoulder, cross draw, or small of back holsters. Ammunition (minimum 100 rounds) No armor piercing rounds. Minimum 2 magazines/speed loaders. Hearing and Eye protection. Action Pistol is not a “handgun 101” event. Participants are expected to be familiar and proficient with the handgun they choose to shoot this event with. You need to know how to handle a firearm safely, load/unload a magazine/cylinder and clear any malfunctions. Action Pistol events are meant for recreational purposes only. This event is only a simulation of personal defensive tactics and is not training or instructional by KRGC or any of it's Range Safety Officers.

Sorry folks about the layout. I couldn't do a preview before submitting.
Again, April 2nd action pistol is cancelled. Hopefully mother nature will give us some warm dry weather so our ranges will firm up.
Brandon & I are looking forward to another great season of action pistol. We are also proud to introduce a new coordinator this year. We're sure with Craig's skills and talents, he'll bring some interesting scenarios to the event.
Thanks to all that have worked so hard at making action pistol such a great shooting sport at KRGC.

4-16-14 Our 1st shoot of the season was a success and lots of fun. It was nice to see old friends and to meet some new ones. Thanks to everyone for your hard work tonight, your efforts are truly appreciated. A special thanks to Pete Adamski for filling in for Dale Rudkin this week. Our next shoot is scheduled for April 30th. Hope to see you. Kim

The weather held for most of tonights shoot giving 16 folks a chance for some trigger time. Our next action pistol will be on May 14th.

5/28/14. We had a great night at action pistol. Perfect weather. 34 shooters total with 8 first timers. 3 scenarios. Thanks to all that came out and made tonight such a huge success. We appreciate your support and efforts in expanding an event we love. We hope to see you all on June 11th.

Hey Kim. I think I can finally make it this Wed!! Did I read your post correctly? NO single action and no .45??? I just bought a new Sig p227 that is double action but its a .45. Can you let me know what's OK to bring. Thanks. See you wed ;=)
