Okay Bullseye here it goes! My name is Dan Eddington and I live just around the corner from the club. Been a member since June of 1974 and have been involved with the club as an officer and/or board member for most of those years. In fact my dad helped build the clubhouse in 1959/60. I was in Jr. High school then and used to hang out with him at the club. You can do the math if you want to know how old I am, (like if anyone even cares).
Been involved in hunting most of my years, but now I mostly just target shoot. My favorite is Highpower which I helped get started at the KRGC in 1982. I'm currently range chairman and you'll probably see me around the club doing odd jobs on the ranges and grounds. Stop and say hi and I'll always welcome a helping hand to keep the grounds in top shape.
If you have any questions about the history of the club, I'll give it my best shot to try and answer them. A few of the founding members were still active in the club those first few years after I joined and I remember some of their stories.
Okay! Whos next?

Hi Everyone, My name is John Menzie (Thunderhead) I currently live in Martin. Was a memeber of the club for several years a long time ago when Oz Henke , Bob Fooy, The Walters Clan and a few others that I can't remember at the moment were all active. Then for some reason I let everthing slip by and rejoined a couple of years ago. I don't do alot of shooting, but just a little to keep me sharp (I think) hahahahaha....mostly shoot archery and starting to shoot my handguns a bit. Missed the last spring work clean-up (sorry guys) which is always a great time and if ya walk away hungry it was your own fault.
Dan, if you ever need a hand, please let me know.

im al ,,,,originally from Bad Axe Mich up in the thumb, but lived in kalamazoo since 1974, 2 years after i graduated high school... A electronics degree got me a job here in town although ive long since left that field to greener pastures..lol.. Hunted ducks/geese/pheasants as a kid in the thumb area,,,but had close to a 20 year gap that i didnt hunt or shoot after moving to kazoo...One sunday afternoon back in 92, a friend had me tag along to the KRGC to shoot some pistols...it happened to be on a day that a highpower rifle match was going on....I wondered over to the highpower range and checked it out, asked a few questions and lo and behold, 3 rifles and a couple thousand dollars later ive been hooked on highpower ever since!!! Getting back into the shooting groove also made me get into deer hunting again and have been enjoying that for the past 13 years or so!! Not sure its the actually hunting or the card playing at camp i like more...anyway,,,,thats about it!!

Hello everyone, My name is Mark Brandli, been a club member since '78, lived in Kazoo at that time. Met Dan Eddington just about the time he started up the Highpower program, and shot on the Highpower and Smallbore rifle teams for several years. Moving out to Delton, divorce and a demanding on call 24/7 job stopped my involvement for some time, along with an addiction to muscle cars and car shows. Got excited about shooting again after the State passed the shall issue CCW law, and got involved in handgun shooting, mostly Cowboy action. Along with that, I was also one of the first in line to take a class and get my permit. A short time after that, both my wife and I became NRA firearms instructors, and I'm also your new club newsletter editor. I enjoy hunting, car shows, my grandkids, and dogs...we have 3 Shiloh Shepherds and too many cats.

Greetings:
My name is Mike and I have been a club member since 2002. I am a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and was deployed in that effort from October of 2004 until January 15th of 2006. During that time I had my wife continue to pay my dues so that I wouldn't have to worry about getting knocked out of the club and having to worry about coming back in! I love our club!
I live in Kalamazoo, but will be moving to Plainwell in a couple of months. I am a full time soldier in the Michigan Army National Guard and will be taking a position in Grand Rapids. Plainwell keeps me closer to church and friends and also the club! I have a wife and a 6 yr old boy, and 4 yr old girl. You might see me on the 15 yd range when noone else is using it, shooting the Red Ryder with my son!
Personally, my interests are in shooting military type rifles, especially the M1A, M1 Garand, and AR-15, as well as handguns. I am interested in high power rifle and battle rattle matches, although I have yet to take the plunge in either. In the spring I intend to also try out Action Pistol.
I am also a Civil War reenactor and do actually shoot more than powder through my 1861 musket when I am at the range. I have gotten some pretty nice groups with it out on the 200 yd line and think it might be what I use for deer this year!
If you see a guy in ACU fatigues, please say hello.

Hi all, I'm Bert VanOstran. I live near Parchment and have been a member for many years, although I haven't been very active in the last few years. I'm going to try to change that this year.
I'm interested in shotgun, pistol and archery.
I'd be willing to help work on a new archery range if we can get some interest going.

Hello: I'm Dave Wiatrowski from South Haven and member of the South Haven Rod & Gun Club. Although primarily a shotgunner I occasionly try and shoot pistol. Started shooting "action pistol" and met Steve "Raptor" Perkowski and his band of merry men who come over to shoot on wednesday nights. Always looking to learn more about the shooting sports and firearms has brought me here after Steve talked up the KR&GC website. So, a big "HI" to everyone and I look foward to your discussions, news, etc. and maybe if you don't mind as opinionated as I am I may just join interject my take. Just a side note, I would like to try and come over this summer visit you folks and possibly join in some of your activities.
DAVE

Hi, I'm Tom DeRyke. Been a member for a couple of years, but due to some medical problems, haven't been very active. I hope to remedy that this year, even if it's just to get out to the range and shoot. I like shooting in general; pistol, rifle and shotgun, but I guess my favorite is front-stuffers. I'll probably get a rep as a geezer (already have it in some circles...) but I don't much care for the "modern" muzzleloaders. My love is the early designs, preferably flint. I've built a few (not from kits) and have the parts for a couple more in the works. Side locks, patched round balls and the smell of black powder in the morning. I have a place out in Pavilion township with enough space for a pistol/rimfire rifle range and, thanks to Pfizer, I may be retired pretty soon. (I'm 58) OK with me, I'll have more time to shoot, and tackle the list of projects I've been saving, not the least of which is a '56 Studebacker truck to hot-rod. I'm sure I'll run in to some of you at the range this spring.
