The club's clay target thrower that is mounted for everyone to use is now back online and working again. It had a broken spring and I replaced it on 2/26 with another rebuilt unit that we keep on hand. These units get a lot of use and it seems something breaks about every six months. Ron Kent and myself keep them rebuilt with spare parts that Tom orders for us. Please post here in the forum if you notice it isn't working or something is broken. Thanks, Dan Eddington, board member
P.S. Please don't leave it cocked when you finish shooting! Several times every year I walk back there when nobody's around and the thrower is in a cocked position. This is not only bad for the spring, but is very dangerous.

I just wanted to say that I tried to use the clay launcher this last weekend and the things not working right.
The clays hardly get any air and hit the ground really fast.
If anyone knows how to tweak the thing, that would be great.
How much does something like that cost anyway, I say we just take up donations for a new one, I'd go $20~30.00 dollars on a new unit.
I'd be willing to make some some nice laminated signs to hang up on the message boards asking for donations to be sent to the club towards one. I bet we could get the money for a new one together pretty quick.

They don't make that model thrower anymore, in fact I think the company went out of business. The club has a spare thrower and parts. I'll try to remember to check it out next week. Ron Kent and myself usually can find the time to fix it. Dan Eddington

Saturday I was up at the shotgun range and the club thrower had a wrench tied to the rope to pull the handle. I removed the wrench and have it if it is yours email me so I can get it back to you. I also adjusted the pull handle rod so it now releases correctly so the wrench is not needed for leverage.
