Has the Rod & Gun Club ever offered reloading classes/training?
I have purchased most of the equipment & materials to reload handgun & rifle, but I'd like to have some training before I apply fire to powder...
Thanks.

To my knowledge the club has never offered any classes on reloading. I know Southern Michigan Gun Club had a class last year and you might want to check their website to see if they are offering it again. You can go to the KRGC website and a link to the SMGC website is there under resources.
I think most of us got started by reading the various reloading manuals "How to" section. Reloading is fun and can cut your costs anywhere from 1/2 to 2/3 over factory ammo. Just make sure you have a basic understanding of cartridge headspace, powder burning rates, pressure signs and the basic safety precautions of handling primers and powder and you'll be fine. All this information is available on the internet or as mentioned in the reloading manuals.
Have fun and you'll soon find out your ammo will outperform what you can buy over the counter.

Have you started reloading yet? I helped a club member get started right in the parking lot this past fall. We bolted the press on to a pallet and worked off the tailgate of my truck. let me know if I can help.

Has there been any more interest in classes from KRGC? I would also be interested.

With the shortage of ammunition this past 6 months, I purchased a reloading kit in January. I did not reload any .223 ammo until last weekend. The reason for this was to educate myself on reloading. Another reason was the shortage of reloading components. I have been searching for components online and locally with a little luck. I had all my components but primers up until Cabelas opened in GR. I went there on opening day and managed to snag the last box of Remington 7-1/2 Primers. So with all my components in hand, I continued to do ALOT of reading. I reloaded 20 rounds with confidence but I still have questions. I haven't had chance to fire the rounds as of yet (Working).
I would love it if the club would put on a class for reloading. Classroom, Demo, hands on and firing the rounds that were reloaded. If there was a small fee to attend this class I think it would be worth it. The money collected could go back into the club.
