Dont know the cost of getting one and maintaining them.

Johnbear, Bad News! These throwers are no longer made and parts are no longer available. Tom ordered as many spare parts as he could before the company went out of business. "Another U.S.A. company gone".
So while we do have some spare parts to keep the thrower that is currently there going, it looks like when those parts are gone, so will the thrower.

I second that idea! No need to have an identical thrower. Might as well get one that is up to date and has parts available.

This forum is good for discussing ideas, but items like new and additional throwers or skylights on the ranges have to come before the Board of Directors at the monthly business meeting. I encourage all to attend, research your idea and present it. If it doesn't fly right away don't get discouraged, gather more support and bring it up again.
