My friend and I recently joined the club and wanted to get some information about the sporting clays shoot held on Sat AM as well as open range shooting.
1) Do we need to bring our own clays for either case? (Sat AM shoots as well as open range shoots)
2) How many people typically are at the Sat AM shoots? We're both fairly new to the sport and do not want to hold anybody up that is coming to have some serious shooting.
Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. I'll make note of the day. If we go out to shoot clays on our own (not during an event), are the clays available, or do we need to bring our own?

If you go on your own you have to supply your own. walmart use to have cheap ones. They raised their price to 7 or 8 a box now. Meijer still sells them at 5 a box i think. These are a 90 count. gander mt has a box of 119 i think and they are 7 or 8 dollars a box.

Stick around after Sporting clays is finished usually by 1PM and follow the last squad through the course and you can pick up all kinds of unbroken birds. A few of the shooters actually miss some...cough, cough! Bring a box as you will get hundreds.
