Ok, for us reloaders, the price of lead shot is now out of sight (around 42.00 for 25lb bag of shot),,,this is in contrast to $14.99 just a few years ago. With that said, anyone have a source , or interested in a bulk order that may save us some $$$ Schanz's in Otsego still have the lowest price ive seen (41.95) I would like to get in with some guys and buy in bulk to save some money if possible but dont know where to start....any ideas???

I was out west a few weeks ago and stopped at a gun store in Nevada. Lead shot was 58.99 a bag for regular 7 1/2 shot. I haven't reloaded for shotgun in years, but at that price it seems a lot of reloading presses will be seen at yard sales in the near future.

your right,,,,at least a lot of shotshell reloading is temporarily "on hold" right now... I have a friend up north who shoots a lot of clay targets thru out the year. He says right now its cheaper to buy a 10 box case of cheap factory loads then to reload.....that may be true currrently, but lead prices are allready being reflected in the factory load prices....Those 4.99 box of off brand 7 1/2 shot target loads is now $5.50 and rising.. My point being, its going to be more costly to shoot trap/skeet no matter if you reload or not...Hopefully lead prices will start to decline and the price will drop accordingly...

Not only lead shot, but the cost of loaded rifle and pistol ammo is going out of sight, as are bullets for reloading. I just got a new Midway catalog in the mail today and was shocked at the prices for bullets.
