first time shooting

Yesterday I took my boy out to the club and he shot a 22 for the first time. Of course, safety was the more important lesson of the day.. we had a great time, although momma thinks he is too young. I don't think you can teach safety too early.

Good going! As long as they are big enough to safely handle the firearm and understand your directions, than age shouldn't matter. The child should also show a desire to learn to shoot and not be forced. Looks like your son is ready. Just my opinion.
