We are making a mailing list of the APO's for KRGC Members and Member's relatives that are serving in the mid-east, to be published in the newsletter. We are hoping to get packages both large and small sent out to our folks to let them know that we are thinking about them here at home. A blurb about it will appear in the next newsletter. If you have mailing information you can forward, please email it to me at: krgc@mei.net I will also post it here once I start getting some names and addresses.

Several of us had the opportunity to meet the son of a guy I work with at the Southern MI hi-power match on 10/21. He's a Marine in an elite sniper/scout unit and is going back to Iraq in March. They have a problem in that the Marines currently don't recognize that sniper/scouts are different from regular grunts and have unique equipment requirements. Consequently, these Marines have to purchase several thousand dollars worth of items themselves. Failure to be properly equipped can literally mean life or death for these guys. Their sergeant has set up an individualized account at a tactical supply company where donations can be made to help them purchase items through the company. I can provide additional personal information, photos, etc. once I receive them from his dad. If you think we can help out a young Marine from Paw Paw, let me know.

We would like to contribute something to the fund, so get the information out here. The area where I want to concentrate for right now though, is KRGC Members and their relatives first, as they are like family. I know that there have to be several of them over there and I'm having a tough time getting information. I really want to get this rolling, and any package that we want to reach them by Christmas has to go by November 10th, which isn't far off.

Hey hipowr,
Did you come up with the information yeat on the donation site for those Marines yet? Also,
since I'm not getting a lot more APO's for service folks over there, can you get me one for the young Marine you spoke to over at Southern Michigan? I'm sure he could use some cookies and other stuff from us!
